Brothers Clash with BLO Over Incomplete SIR Form in Lucknow, Detained by Police

A major incident unfolded in Nagram police station area, Lucknow, on Thursday during SIR data collection, when two brothers allegedly assaulted and threatened BLO Anjana Yadav and her staff over the submission of an incomplete SIR form. Police intervened and took the accused into custody for causing public disturbance.

According to BLO Anjana Yadav, she was conducting SIR data verification at Booth No. 371 in the Upper Primary School, Salem Pur Achaka, when Deshraj and his brother Ramdin arrived and insisted on submitting an incomplete form for their wives. When instructed to submit a properly filled form as per the rules, the brothers became agitated. They reportedly called around 15 people to the school and created a commotion, verbally abusing the staff.

The dispute escalated when the brothers locked the main gate of the school, halting the SIR operations. During the altercation, teacher Bhaskar Pandey was allegedly attacked. The accused also threatened the teacher, warning him against approaching the police. Fearing escalation, the accused eventually fled the scene.

Nagram police promptly arrived and began an investigation. Station Officer Vivek Kumar Choudhary confirmed that preliminary inquiries established the argument and confrontation but did not verify the physical assault claims. Both parties have submitted written statements. The two brothers have been taken into custody and booked under sections pertaining to public disturbance.

Following the incident, BLO Anjana Yadav submitted a letter to the SDM, requesting police protection to continue SIR operations, citing the tense atmosphere in the village. The SDM has directed the Nagram police to ensure police presence during future SIR activities at the school.
