Bride-To-Be Flees With Cash and Jewellery a Week Before Wedding, Father Files Police Complaint in Greater Noida

In a shocking incident from Greater Noida, a young woman fled from her home with her lover just a week before her wedding. The woman reportedly left with cash and jewellery worth several lakhs, leaving her family devastated. The incident took place in a village under the Dankaur police station area.

According to the complaint filed by the woman’s father, the wedding was scheduled for 30 November, and preparations were in full swing. However, on the night of 23 November, his daughter allegedly eloped with a youth from the same village. The father stated that the girl took ₹2.80 lakh in cash along with gold ornaments before disappearing.

Father Accuses Local Youth of Manipulating His Daughter

The family has accused a villager named Rohit of influencing and luring the girl away. Based on the written complaint, the police have registered an FIR against Rohit and have begun investigating the matter.

The sudden disappearance of the bride-to-be has caused extreme distress to the family, who had already distributed wedding invitations and made all preparations for the ceremony.

Police Launch Search Operation

Dankaur SHO Munendra Singh confirmed that a case has been registered following the father’s complaint.
He stated that a police team is actively working on the investigation and expressed confidence that the missing girl will be traced soon.

The incident has created significant tension in the village as both families await further updates from the authorities.
