Lucknow, UP: Following the Delhi Red Fort blast, shocking revelations have emerged regarding Dr. Shaheen Siddiqui from Lucknow. Security agencies have uncovered that Shaheen, posing as a compassionate caregiver, was allegedly brainwashing young students and patients to join extremist groups.
Initial investigations reveal that Shaheen targeted Muslim medical students and patients, coercing them to affiliate with the group Jamaat-ul-Momineenat. Reports indicate that she maintained online contact with girls studying abroad, guiding them under the pretext of mentorship. Using this strategy, she gradually manipulated them into suspicious activities, exploiting her position of trust.
Multiple Kashmir Visits and Logistic Support Allegations
Shaheen has reportedly visited Jammu & Kashmir multiple times. Security sources suggest her activities involved providing logistical support to terrorist networks. Her interrogations will now be conducted alongside her brother, Dr. Parvez Siddiqui, after separate initial questioning. Agencies are also investigating connections between Dr. Parvez and the arrested Dr. Muzammil.
Dr. Parvez Siddiqui’s Low Profile
Parvez reportedly communicated with associates via keypad phones and maintained a low public profile. Neighbors in IIM Road’s Muttakipur Takwa Colony described his home as unusually quiet, with minimal social interactions. Friends say he provided medical advice remotely, often via WhatsApp messages, and rarely engaged in community activities.
Shock and Disbelief in the Neighborhood
Neighbors in Kaisarbagh’s Khandari Bazaar, where Shaheen and Parvez reside, expressed astonishment at the revelations. Elderly residents noted that Parvez maintained limited social ties and was largely solitary. Occasional disputes over religious practices were reported, after which he withdrew from mosque activities for some time. The family, including their father and elder brother, still resides in the same colony.
The ongoing investigation aims to fully uncover the extent of Shaheen and Parvez’s involvement, and authorities are working to trace their networks both domestically and internationally.
