New Delhi: Security agencies in Delhi are on high alert after bomb threats were reported targeting three district courts and two schools in the national capital. The threats were conveyed through an email allegedly from the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
According to sources, the email warned of potential attacks at the courts and schools. The threat prompted immediate action from Delhi Police and other security agencies. Intensive searches were conducted, especially at the Tis Hazari Court, with security tightened across all affected locations.
However, preliminary investigations suggest that the threat may be fake. No suspicious objects were found at any of the targeted sites.
The bomb threat was reportedly received early Tuesday morning at two CRPF-run schools in Delhi, located in Prashant Vihar and Dwarka. Delhi Fire Services confirmed that the call alerting them to the threat came around 9 a.m. A senior police officer stated, “Both schools were thoroughly searched, and nothing suspicious was found. The threat has been declared false.”
Following the email, security arrangements were immediately reinforced at Tis Hazari, Saket, Dwarka, Patiala House, and Rohini court complexes. Officers remained on high alert, and search operations were conducted in all areas mentioned in the threat.
Despite heightened security and extensive checks, no explosives or suspicious items have been recovered so far, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely to ensure public safety.
