Bomb Threat to Rajasthan High Court Triggers Panic in Jodhpur and Jaipur Benches

Jaipur/Jodhpur: Panic gripped Rajasthan on Tuesday morning after the Rajasthan High Court received a bomb threat via email, targeting both the Jodhpur and Jaipur benches. The alarming message claimed that explosives had been planted inside the court premises, prompting immediate action from security agencies.

As soon as the threat was reported, heavy police deployment was rushed to both locations. In Jodhpur, DCP (West) Vineet Bansal personally arrived at the spot along with a large police force. The entire court premises were quickly declared a restricted zone, and all officials, advocates, litigants, and staff members were evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Bomb Disposal and Dog Squad Launched Search Operation

Taking no chances, the authorities deployed bomb disposal squads and dog squads to thoroughly inspect the premises. Teams carried out an intensive search of courtrooms, chambers, corridors, and other sensitive areas where suspicious material could be hidden.

Security personnel also inspected nearby public areas and checked unattended objects, keeping in mind the heavy footfall around court complexes.

Court Proceedings Suspended

Due to the security emergency, court proceedings were temporarily halted. The High Court administration displayed an official notice stating that all judicial work would remain suspended until 11:30 AM, and hearings would resume only after complete security clearance.

Cyber Team Tracing Email Source

Meanwhile, the cyber cell has launched an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email. Officials are examining the server details, IP address, and digital trail to identify the sender.

Security Tightened Across Court Premises

In response to the threat, security measures have been strengthened permanently. Authorities have issued new instructions to restrict entry, allowing only those with valid identity cards issued by the Bar Council or court administration. Checking at entry points has been doubled, and surveillance has been intensified to prevent unauthorized access.

Conspiracy or Mischief?

Police officials are currently investigating whether the incident is part of a larger conspiracy or merely a hoax attempt to create panic. Given the recent rise in fake bomb threats across institutions, authorities are treating the matter seriously and are not ruling out any possibility.
