Mau: A wave of panic swept through Mau Railway Station on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was reported on the Kashi Express train traveling from Gorakhpur to Mumbai. Following the alert, a heavy security deployment rushed to the station, and all passengers were safely evacuated.
During the tense situation, a suspicious black bag was spotted on the platform. Displaying remarkable bravery, City Police Officer Anil Singh personally removed the bag from the station premises, placing himself at risk. The bomb squad later examined the bag and confirmed that it contained no explosives.
A joint investigation by the local police, GRP, RPF, and the bomb disposal team revealed that the threat had been a hoax. After thorough checks, the Kashi Express, which had remained halted at Mau for nearly two hours, resumed its journey safely. Social media users have been praising Officer Singh’s courageous act.
