BJP Councillor’s Third Wife Brutally Murdered in Mandsaur; Stepson Accused

Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident in Mandsaur, Rubina, the third wife of BJP councillor Shahid Mev, was brutally murdered in broad daylight. Police have registered the case and suspect her stepson, Sahil, as the prime accused. This was Rubina’s fourth marriage, while it was the councillor’s third. Reports suggest that the stepson harbored resentment toward this marriage.

Attack in Broad Daylight
Rubina was returning home from her parental residence when two motorcycle-borne assailants intercepted her e-rickshaw. The attackers forcibly pulled her out and stabbed her multiple times with a knife. Despite being rushed to the district hospital, Rubina succumbed to her injuries. The incident took place near Abhinandan Colony in the Kotwali police station area.

Recent Marriage and Family Tensions
Rubina had married Shahid Mev only seven months ago. She leaves behind two children. The police suspect Sahil, son of the councillor’s first wife, due to his apparent anger over his father’s third marriage. Sources indicate that the stepson had frequent arguments with his father over this marriage.

Councillor’s Background and Investigation
Shahid Mev has reportedly denied suspecting anyone at present. Meanwhile, police are actively searching for Sahil, who is currently absconding. Reports also note that the councillor has faced allegations of gambling in the past and was recently apprehended in Neemuch. Authorities are investigating the case as a potential family dispute.
