Sitamarhi, Bihar: In a shocking and unprecedented case, the police in Sitamarhi district recovered the decapitated head of a kidnapped man five days after his murder, with no sign of decomposition. The head appeared unnervingly fresh, leaving both law enforcement and locals baffled. Authorities say such an incident is possibly the first of its kind in the district, where the severed head remained intact and odorless days after the killing.
Discovery of the Head
The head of the deceased, identified as Fekan Paswan, husband of a ward member from Bairaha Barahi Panchayat, Bathnaha block, was recovered from a banana plantation five days after his body was found without a head. The severed head, along with his shoes, was packed in a jute sack and sent for postmortem at the district hospital. The police also called in the FSL team to investigate the scene for forensic evidence.
Background of the Murder
Fekan Paswan went missing from his home on 30 December 2025. On 31 December, his headless body was found in a sack near NH 22 in Dharmapur. The police suspect that the head and shoes were transported and dumped at the banana plantation from another location.
