
Tonk, Rajasthan: A horrific incident shocked Tonk district when a birthday celebration between a couple turned into a gruesome crime. A 27-year-old man allegedly slit his girlfriend’s throat inside a hotel room and later attempted suicide. Both have died, leaving the region in shock.
Celebration Turns Into a Nightmare
According to police, the incident occurred at Gokul Hotel on Dudu Road in Malpura. Mukesh Jat (27), a resident of Diggi, had checked into the hotel with his 26-year-old girlfriend to celebrate his birthday. The couple had been in a relationship for a long time.
At some point during the evening, the two got into a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Mukesh allegedly attacked the woman with a sharp weapon, slitting her throat and killing her on the spot. The hotel room was found soaked in blood, indicating the brutality of the attack.
Accused Also Ends His Life
After killing his girlfriend, Mukesh attempted suicide. He was found in a severely injured condition and was immediately referred to a Jaipur hospital. Despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries later that night.
Victim Was Scheduled to Marry in February
Police revealed that the deceased woman was set to get married in February. Her sudden and tragic death has left her family devastated.
Malpura Station House Officer Chena Ram Chaudhary confirmed the details and said that a murder case has been registered based on the complaint filed by the woman’s family.
Shock and Panic Across the Region
The double tragedy has created a wave of panic and disbelief across Malpura and nearby areas. Police are investigating the exact cause of the argument and events that led to the brutal murder-suicide.
