Bijnor Woman Hospitalized After Husband Allegedly Feeds Her Poisoned Food Prepared by His Lover

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh: A woman from Kashiram Colony, Kotwali area, Bijnor, was admitted to hospital in serious condition after allegedly being fed poisoned food. Once conscious, she told police that her husband had plotted to harm her in order to marry another woman. She claimed that her husband, along with his lover, prepared the toxic meal and forced her to consume it.

Incident Details

According to the victim, Gudiya, her husband Sharik, son of Aslam, is involved in a relationship with another woman from the same colony and intends to marry her. On Wednesday, Sharik and his lover allegedly prepared the poisoned food and gave it to Gudiya, leading to her severe illness. She was admitted to the district hospital at night after neighbors intervened and her family was informed.

Officials from the Civil Lines police station and the SDM Sadar visited the hospital to record Gudiya’s statement. Hospital emergency doctor Sahil confirmed that the woman was brought in after reportedly consuming phenyl.

Police Investigation Underway

The Bijnor police have taken cognizance of the case and are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances, including the involvement of the husband and his alleged accomplice.
