Bihar Voting Live: Lalu Family Casts Their Votes — Tejashwi Yadav Declares, “Change Will Come on November 14

Patna: As the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 got underway, the state’s most influential political family — RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, and Mahagathbandhan’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav — exercised their voting rights in Patna on Thursday morning.

Accompanied by Tejashwi’s wife Rajshri Yadav and sister Misa Bharti, the family turned out together at the polling booth, drawing widespread media attention.

After casting his vote, Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed confidence that this election would mark the beginning of a new era in Bihar’s politics, saying, “This election will bring change to Bihar.”

Echoing his father’s sentiment, Tejashwi Yadav appealed to voters to come out in large numbers and “vote for change.” He said, “On November 14, Bihar will witness transformation. Let us bring change, let us form a new government.”

Misa Bharti, speaking to reporters, urged voters to “vote with their children’s future in mind,” asserting that both the youth and the public had already made up their minds for a decisive victory of the Mahagathbandhan.

Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi made a heartfelt appeal, particularly to women and young voters, to step out of their homes and exercise their democratic right. She said, “It is the people who will bring change.”

However, one notable absence from the family was Tej Pratap Yadav, who is contesting separately this time. When asked about his absence, Rabri Devi calmly replied, “Both my sons have my blessings. Tej Pratap is contesting on his own, and I wish them both success.”

As voting continues across Bihar, all eyes are now on November 14 — the day that could redefine the state’s political landscape.
