Gopalganj, Bihar: In a shocking and tragic incident from Gopalganj, Bihar, a young man allegedly murdered his own mother over a dispute of just ₹100. According to reports, the accused, Bharosa Rawat, asked his mother for ₹100. When she refused, a heated argument ensued, escalating quickly. In a fit of rage, the son attacked his mother with a sharp weapon kept at home, killing her instantly. The horrifying scene left local villagers stunned.

Police Response and Arrest

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Baikunthpur police, led by SDPO-2 Rajesh Kumar, rushed to the scene, secured the body, and sent it for post-mortem at the district hospital. The accused was apprehended on the spot while attempting to flee, and the weapon used in the murder was recovered.

Given the gravity of the case, police involved a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to collect critical evidence.
