Bihar Launches Luxury Caravan Buses for Tourists: Travel in Style

Patna, December 22, 2025: In a significant move to boost tourism, the Bihar government has launched its first fleet of luxury caravan buses, designed to offer travelers the comfort and amenities of a five-star hotel on the road.

Unlike ordinary buses, these caravan buses provide a premium travel experience, enabling tourists to enjoy road trips without the need to stop at hotels. The initiative comes under the Bihar Tourism Department, reflecting the state’s growing focus on improving tourist facilities.

Luxury Features on Board
The buses are equipped with private bedrooms, fully functional kitchens, and advanced entertainment systems. Recliner sofas, tables, mobile charging ports, AC vents, and privacy curtains ensure maximum comfort for passengers. Additionally, overhead cabin boxes provide ample storage for luggage.

For entertainment, a large screen is installed for watching movies and web series, while CCTV cameras and monitoring systems ensure passenger safety throughout the journey.

Onboard Facilities for Comfort and Convenience
Designed as mobile hotels, the buses include shower-equipped bathrooms, dining arrangements, and sleeping accommodations with four beds per bus. These features make the caravan buses ideal for families, groups, and tourists seeking a private, flexible, and luxurious travel experience.

Fare and Travel Details
The fare for traveling in the luxury caravan buses is ₹75 per kilometer, with a minimum daily travel requirement of 250 kilometers. This means a typical day’s journey could cost approximately ₹19,000. The service is tailored for travelers who prefer comfort, privacy, and flexibility while exploring the state’s tourist destinations.

Bihar’s luxury caravan buses mark a new era in road tourism, combining convenience, safety, and comfort for an unforgettable travel experience.
