
Patna: Two senior Bihar cadre IPS officers, known for their efficiency and expertise, have been appointed on central deputation, according to an official notification issued by the Bihar Home Department. Rajiv Mishra and Daljit Singh will now serve under the central government in key security roles.
Daljit Singh Takes Charge as IG in BSF
Daljit Singh, a 2007-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF). Before his central deputation, Singh was serving as IG in the Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Bihar Police. Recognized for his administrative skills and experience, Singh has been entrusted with the critical responsibility of safeguarding India’s borders.
Rajiv Mishra to Serve as DIG in CISF
Rajiv Mishra, a 2010-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Prior to this, he served as DIG in Bihar’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). His experience in handling sensitive law enforcement assignments will now be leveraged to ensure the security of major industrial establishments across the country.
Track Record in Bihar Police
Both officers have been praised for their contributions at the state level. Rajiv Mishra, during his tenure as SP in Patna, played a key role in reducing crime rates in the city, earning recognition from the state government for his proactive approach and effective policing.
The central deputation of these Bihar cadre officers reflects the government’s confidence in their abilities to manage critical security responsibilities at the national level.
