Bihar Assembly Microphone Glitch During Governor’s Address, Secretary Summoned for Urgent Meeting

During the Winter Session of the Bihar Assembly, Governor Arif Mohammad Khan faced repeated disruptions in the audio system while delivering his address to the joint session. The Assembly Speaker, Prem Kumar, took decisive action by summoning Kumar Ravi, Secretary of the Building Construction Department (BCD), along with other officials to address the issue.

Audio Disruption Causes Chaos

On Wednesday morning, as the Governor began his address in the Central Hall, the microphone repeatedly malfunctioned, causing interruptions and preventing some members from hearing the speech clearly. Despite the technical glitches, Governor Khan continued speaking in a raised voice to ensure his address was heard, calming agitated members.

Official Response

A statement from the Assembly Public Relations Officer (PRO) confirmed that preliminary investigations revealed the faulty audio panels installed by BCD as the reason behind the disruption.

Urgent Meeting Scheduled

Speaker Prem Kumar has directed that a meeting with the BCD Secretary and concerned officials be held on Thursday at 3 PM in the Speaker’s office. The Assembly’s in-charge secretary, Khyati Singh, has been instructed to coordinate the meeting and ensure that BCD investigates the matter within 24 hours and takes action against those responsible.
