
In a daring daylight robbery in Siwan, Bihar, six armed men stormed a jewelry shop, making off with jewelry worth several lakhs, police said. The incident occurred in Tari Bazaar, Raghunathpur police station area, targeting Krishna Jewellers.
According to police, the gang split roles during the heist: three of the men fired shots to create panic, while the other three looted the jewelry and packed it into a bag before fleeing the scene. Local authorities were immediately alerted, and police arrived at the site to begin investigation. A video of the robbery has surfaced showing the six men arriving on two motorcycles. On one bike, three assailants can be seen firing shots, while two others are on the second bike, with one standing initially before joining the bike later.
Siwan Police Superintendent Manoj Tiwari confirmed that one suspect has been arrested, and the identities of the gang members have been established. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the remaining criminals.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary acknowledged the incident, stating that police action is underway and several arrests have already been made. Despite ongoing claims of tightened law enforcement, this incident underscores the audacity of criminals in the region.
