Bihar: Armed Attack on Villagers During Wild Boar Hunt, Two Youths Seriously Injured

Arrah, Bhojpur: In a shocking incident in Dhobadi village under Narayanpur police station, Bhojpur district, two young men were critically injured in separate firing incidents while villagers had gathered to hunt a wild boar. The first victim, Ritesh Yadav, sustained a gunshot wound to his left abdomen and was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Arrah for urgent treatment. According to the victim, the attackers intentionally targeted him as he was passing by. The police have launched a detailed investigation into the matter.

District Deputy Superintendent of Police, KK Singh, confirmed that Ritesh is under medical care and police are probing the incident thoroughly. The local community was thrown into panic following the firing, and authorities acted swiftly to ensure the injured received treatment.

Second Firing Incident in Jamira: In a separate incident along the Arrah-Jamira Road near Dharhara Cement Factory, another youth was shot by armed assailants riding a motorcycle. The victim, Avinash Kumar, 19, a BA Part-2 student from Jamira village, sustained injuries to his right shoulder and thigh. He was rushed to a private hospital in Babu Bazaar, Arrah, where surgeons successfully removed the bullets and stabilized his condition. Police have taken two of his companions in for questioning, and further investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators.

Public Outrage After Road Accident: In another tragic development, a road accident near Bagicha Bridge on the Mahuli Ganga Ghat route to Uttar Pradesh claimed the life of Mangru Yadav, 48, after an uncontrolled auto collided with a speeding motorcycle. The victims were rushed to Ballia hospital, where Mangru succumbed to his injuries. Locals, alleging police negligence for releasing the motorcyclist involved, staged protests on the road, burning debris and blocking traffic, demanding immediate arrest of the responsible party.

Authorities are investigating all three incidents, emphasizing public safety while attempting to restore calm in the affected areas.
