The deceased has been identified as Payal Tilak, a Class 12 student and daughter of Suresh Tilak. According to family members, Payal had not attended school on Tuesday. When her mother asked for the reason, Payal did not respond. The mother’s subsequent scolding reportedly left the teenager upset and emotionally distressed. That night, Payal consumed poison in a desperate act, and despite immediate medical attention, she succumbed during treatment at a local hospital.
Medical and Police Response
Payal was admitted to Gandhi Medical College, where doctors attempted emergency treatment, but she could not be saved. Post-mortem examinations were conducted, and the body has been handed over to her family. Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was recovered.

The family expressed shock and grief over the sudden loss. “Payal never shared her thoughts after being scolded. We never imagined she would take such a drastic step,” said a relative.
