Bhopal Student Raped in Car; Accused Arrested for Blackmail and Religious Coercion

Bhopal: A shocking case has emerged from Bhopal, where an 11th-grade student of a reputed school was allegedly raped inside a car. The accused, 19-year-old Osaf Ali Khan, has been arrested by the police. He reportedly recorded a video of the assault and attempted to blackmail the victim. The incident took place in the Kohefiza police station area, and the police are investigating the complaint.

Details of the Incident
The victim studies at a prominent school in the city, while the accused is a 12th-grade student at the same school. Osaf’s father is a doctor, and his mother is a government school teacher. Following the complaint, the police arrested the accused, who will be produced in court and remanded to jail.

Lured Under Pretense of Romance
According to reports, the accused used the victim’s friend to establish contact and gradually won the victim’s trust. In July 2025, Osaf reportedly took the girl to a secluded area in Khanuganj under the pretext of an outing. He allegedly raped her inside his car and, when she resisted, silenced her with promises of marriage.

Blackmail and Harassment
The accused also recorded a video of the assault. Days later, he demanded ₹1 lakh from the victim to prevent the video from being leaked. The victim managed to pay ₹40,000, after which he blocked her number. He continued to harass her by calling from different numbers.

The victim later informed her maternal cousin and members of a Hindu organization, who helped her file an FIR at Kohefiza Police Station. She also alleged that the accused tried to coerce her into religious conversion.Police have taken the accused into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
