
Bhopal: A shocking incident of knife violence occurred at a snooker club in Ganesh Chowk, Tilak Jamalpura, Bhopal, involving minor students. According to police, two accused students attacked a peer, stabbing him 27 times within just 30 seconds. The incident has raised serious concerns about law and order in the city.
Details of the Attack
The victim, a student from Gautam Nagar, was playing at the snooker club when the accused entered and launched a sudden assault. In the attack, the victim sustained 10 cuts on his wrist, lost two fingers, and suffered injuries to his shoulder and back. He is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.
Motive: Revenge for a Slap
Police revealed that the accused, a 16-year-old tenth-grade student, shared the same coaching institute as the victim. The assault was reportedly an act of revenge, following a recent argument in which the victim had slapped the accused.
Police Response and Investigation
Speaking to the media, TI Manipal Singh Bhadauria stated that the case has been initially registered under sections related to physical assault. Once the medical report is received, additional charges may be added based on the severity of the injuries. Both accused were taken into custody but later released after being served notices.
Social Media Outrage
Adding to public concern, the attackers reportedly posted a video of the assault on social media, sparking outrage among parents and the local community. Authorities are reviewing the video as part of the investigation.
