Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A shocking discovery in Kamla Nagar has put the city on alert. Police recovered the body of a woman from a tin box floating in a septic tank in an open ground near six shops on Thursday evening. Preliminary investigations suggest that the case may involve murder and an attempt to conceal evidence. Authorities are currently checking records of missing women in the area.
Suspicious Box Found Floating
Around 5 PM, a local resident alerted police to a suspicious box floating in the water of a septic tank. Officers immediately reached the scene, retrieved the box, and were stunned to find the corpse of a woman inside. The body, estimated to be three to four days old, was badly decomposed, making identification difficult.
Evidence Points to Homicide
Police stated that the manner in which the body was placed inside the box and dumped into the septic tank strongly indicates that the woman was killed elsewhere and her body disposed of to hide her identity. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and the exact cause and time of death will be determined after the forensic report.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are now gathering information on missing women from nearby areas and questioning local residents. The police confirmed that all angles of the case are being thoroughly investigated.
