Bhiwadi Factory Blaze: 7 Workers Burn to Death in Horrific Fire

Bhiwadi, Rajasthan: A devastating fire engulfed a factory in the Khushkheda industrial area of Bhiwadi on Monday morning, claiming the lives of seven workers in a gruesome incident. The victims were reportedly trapped inside the factory as flames and explosions consumed the building, leaving charred remains resembling skeletal forms. Rescue operations are ongoing for two other workers feared trapped under debris.

The tragedy occurred around 10 a.m. at Plot No. G-1, 118, in a factory reportedly used for illegal firecracker manufacturing despite being officially “closed.” Eyewitnesses described a series of loud explosions that shook the surrounding industrial area, with the sound carrying to distant neighborhoods. The factory reportedly housed large stocks of gunpowder and cardboard, which fueled the ferocity of the blaze.

Authorities confirmed that around 25 workers were present at the time of the fire. Many fled in panic, while nearby factories were evacuated and power was cut as a precaution. The deceased have been identified as laborers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, according to ADM Bhiwadi Sumitra Mishra. Fire Brigade in-charge Raju Khan said the intense stock of explosive materials made firefighting operations extremely challenging, requiring several hours of cooling and containment.

Questions are now being raised about how a factory officially listed as “closed” could operate such a hazardous setup for months. Senior police officials are investigating the incident, and the main accused, the factory lessee, remains at large.
