“Bhishma, BrahMos and Akash”: Indian Army Showcases Its Super Power at ‘Operation Sindoor’ Exhibition in Jaipur

Jaipur:
The spirit of valour and sacrifice came alive in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur as the Indian Army put on a spectacular display of its military strength and technological prowess during the grand ‘Operation Sindoor’ exhibition, organised on the occasion of the 78th Army Day. For the first time, Jaipur is hosting such an extensive showcase of the Army’s capabilities, drawing huge public enthusiasm.

Organised by the South Western Command (Sapta Shakti Command), the four-day ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition has been set up at the Shri Bhawani Niketan campus. The exhibition offers civilians a rare opportunity to witness the Indian Army’s modern weapons, tanks, missiles and advanced operational systems up close.

‘Know Your Army’ Exhibition Draws Massive Crowd
From students to families, people from all walks of life are thronging the venue to experience the might of the Indian Army. The exhibition aims to strengthen the bond between the armed forces and citizens by familiarising them with the Army’s role, preparedness and cutting-edge technology.

T-90 ‘Bhishma’ Tank Steals the Show
The biggest attraction of the exhibition is the Indian Army’s state-of-the-art T-90 battle tank ‘Bhishma’, which has captured the attention of visitors with its sheer power and combat capability. Weighing around 46 tonnes, the T-90 Bhishma is equipped with a powerful NTW craft machine gun and is capable of operating across diverse terrains—deserts, mountains and plains.

The tank can also manoeuvre through water bodies up to five metres deep, making it a formidable asset in modern warfare. From the borders of Jammu and Kashmir to the deserts of Gujarat and Rajasthan, the Bhishma tank has repeatedly proven its operational excellence.

BrahMos and Akash Missiles Boost Excitement
Adding to the excitement, the exhibition also features the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile and the Akash air defence missile system, both of which played a crucial role during Operation Sindoor. Their presence has generated immense curiosity among visitors, highlighting India’s growing self-reliance and strength in missile technology.

In addition, drones, including those used by China, have also been put on display, offering insights into evolving modern warfare and counter-drone strategies.

The ‘Operation Sindoor’ exhibition in Jaipur stands as a powerful reminder of the Indian Army’s readiness, technological advancement and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation, while instilling pride and confidence among citizens.
