Bengaluru Airport Scare: Man Chases Victim With Knife, CISF Officer Stops Attack Seconds Before Fatal Blow — Shocking CCTV Video Surfaces

A major tragedy was averted at Kempegowda International Airport after CISF personnel acted with lightning speed to stop a knife-wielding man from attacking another individual. Police have arrested two men in connection with the incident, which caused chaos at the terminal.

Knife Attack Sparks Panic at Terminal 1

The incident took place near the VVIP pick-up point of Terminal 1 on Monday. Panic erupted when a man was seen running with a large knife, openly chasing another individual. Witnesses scattered in fear as the attacker closed in.

Security forces rushed to the spot and overpowered the accused before the situation escalated further.

CCTV Footage Reveals the Terrifying Moment

CCTV video from the airport shows one man sprinting for his life while two others chase him—one of them armed with a knife. The victim suddenly loses balance and falls. In the footage, the attacker can be seen preparing to strike him with the knife.

Just as the blade is about to come down, a CISF officer—displaying remarkable presence of mind—lunges forward, grabs the attacker, and drags him away, preventing a near-certain fatal assault.

Who Attacked Whom? Police Clarify

Police identified the individuals involved:

• Victim (running to save his life):
  Suhail Ahmed Pyarejaan, 36, resident of Jayanagar 3rd Block, Byrasandra.
• Attackers:
  Jagdish J.R. and Renu Kumar

The confrontation reportedly stemmed from an earlier dispute between the parties.

CISF Officer’s Swift Action Saves a Life

According to CISF officials, around midnight, Suhail was seen charging toward Jagdish and Renu with a knife near the Terminal 1 arrival lane.
ASI Sunil Kumar, along with two CISF personnel on duty, immediately intervened, disarmed him, and restrained him without allowing any injuries.

The accused and all involved individuals were promptly handed over to KIA Police for further action.

Revenge Motive Behind the Attack

Preliminary investigation suggests the attack was motivated by revenge. Suhail reportedly told police that earlier in the night, Jagdish and two others had assaulted him. In retaliation, he returned armed with a knife and attempted the attack captured on CCTV.
