Begusarai Triple Murder Case: Man Sentenced to Death for Killing Brother, Sister-in-Law, and Niece Over Property

Begusarai, February 12, 2026: In a major verdict in the Begusarai courts, a man has been sentenced to death for brutally murdering his brother, sister-in-law, and niece on Diwali night in 2019, driven by greed for property.

The Additional District Judge-3 (ADJ-3), Justice Brajesh Kumar Singh, handed down the death sentence to the accused, Vikas Kumar. The hearing was conducted via video conferencing after the accused was brought from Beur Jail to Begusarai Jail. The court described the murders as a heinous crime.

Government advocate Ram Prakash Yadav stated that the court recognized the incident as a “horrific and premeditated act.” The case, recorded under Sessions Case No. 465/21, saw the prosecution present six witnesses, all of whom corroborated the events leading to the triple murder.

This verdict marks a significant judicial response to one of Begusarai’s most shocking and brutal family crimes, emphasizing the judiciary’s strict stance against premeditated murder for personal gain.
