Barwani Horror: 7-Year-Old Tribal Girl Raped, Murdered and Dumped in Canal; Police Suspect Close Acquaintance

A horrifying crime has shaken the Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh. A seven-year-old tribal girl was brutally raped and murdered before her body was dumped in the Indira Sagar canal on Monday, leaving the local community and authorities in shock. The post-mortem report revealed gruesome details, highlighting the extreme cruelty of the act.

Police Details

According to Rajpur Police Station In-Charge Vikram Singh Bamaniya, the girl’s body was discovered floating near Khadkal village in the Indira Sagar canal. Locals promptly retrieved the body and informed the police, who sent it for post-mortem examination.

The victim had been living with her grandparents and younger brother, as her mother had remarried about four years ago and her father was working in Indore. When the girl went missing on Monday morning, her family launched a frantic search. A case has now been registered under rape, murder, and the POCSO Act following the post-mortem report.

Gruesome Findings

The post-mortem confirmed that the girl was first sexually assaulted before being murdered. The medical report indicated severe injuries to her private parts, signaling the extreme brutality involved in this crime.

Police Suspect a Close Acquaintance

Investigators suspect that the perpetrator may be someone familiar to the child or her family. Given the gravity of the case, police have intensified their investigation and are questioning potential suspects.

This shocking incident has left the entire district stunned, raising urgent concerns about the safety of children in vulnerable communities and the need for heightened vigilance.
