The incident occurred during a recent inspection tour near the Eastern Yamuna Canal. While inspecting a newly constructed bridge near Gathina village, the MLA’s convoy stopped at a spot along the canal. Unexpectedly, a nilgai calf approached the group, an unusual occurrence as nilgais normally keep their distance from humans. Witnesses were surprised by the animal’s trust and calm behavior, prompting MLA Tomar to interact with it and capture the moment on video.
