Jaipur/Bageshwar: Spiritual leader Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has extended a special invitation to Rajasthan Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati to attend the ‘Saptam Kanya Vivah Mahotsav’ on Maha Shivratri, where 300 orphaned and underprivileged girls will be married. Shastri also informed Bhati that Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will be present, emphasizing the importance of Bhati’s participation to bless the girls.
A Powerful Conversation Over the Phone
The phone call between Shastri and Bhati quickly became the talk of the town. Shastri not only issued the invitation but revealed details of the grand event. Social media is abuzz as one of Rajasthan’s rising political figures, Bhati, receives recognition for being called to this mass philanthropic celebration.
Giving Hope to Orphans and Underprivileged Girls
This is no ordinary wedding ceremony—it is a ‘Mahayagya’ of charity. Among the 300 brides:
- 60 are orphans
- 138 have lost their fathers
- 28 have lost their mothers
- 8 are differently-abled, and 23 have parents who are differently-abled
Shastri will personally oversee the ceremonies, acting as the symbolic ‘father’ for these girls.
From Donation Box to ‘Kanyadaan’
Shastri has set an example of how every rupee donated at the Dham contributes directly to the welfare of these girls. Participants are coming from across India and even Nepal—with 229 from Madhya Pradesh, 56 from Uttar Pradesh, and one girl from Nepal. Hundreds of girls, including Ranjita, Neelu, Sapna, and Vandana, will be given the chance for a new beginning under Shastri’s guidance.
