Baba Ramdev Visits Ayodhya, Speaks on Ram Temple, Sanatan Unity, and ‘Ghazwa‑e‑Hind’ Narrative

Ayodhya, January 23, 2026: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev visited Ayodhya on Friday, where he participated in a yoga camp at a local ashram and addressed devotees on spirituality, Sanatan values, and national unity. Emphasizing the religious significance of Ayodhya, Ramdev described it as a sacred pilgrimage site and highlighted the grandeur of the newly constructed Ram Temple.

Speaking to the media, Baba Ramdev said Ayodhya holds supreme importance in India’s spiritual heritage and alleged that foreign invaders had historically caused destruction in the region. He said the Ram Temple now stands as a symbol of cultural revival, drawing millions of devotees from India and abroad for the darshan of Ram Lalla.

Ramdev said he arrived in Ayodhya after taking a holy dip in Prayagraj and seeking blessings on the birth anniversary of a revered Vedantic saint. He announced that he would visit the Ram Janmabhoomi to seek blessings and promote what he described as the values of “Ram‑tattva, Krishna‑tattva, Hanuman‑tattva, and Shiva‑tattva” among the masses.

Commenting on recent disputes involving Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand in Prayagraj, Ramdev urged unity among followers of Sanatan Dharma. He said internal disagreements damage the reputation of Sanatan traditions and stressed that religious leaders should avoid disputes, especially at pilgrimage sites. “Sadhus should rise above ego and conflict. Disputes over rituals or processions only bring disrepute,” he said.

Baba Ramdev also warned against divisive ideologies, referring to what he called attempts at religious polarization, including narratives such as “Ghazwa‑e‑Hind.” He asserted that Sanatan Dharma faces multiple challenges and urged followers to remain united. “We should confront forces that seek to divide the nation, not fight among ourselves,” he said.

The yoga guru concluded by stating that the true objective of his visit was to inspire people to adopt Sanatan values in daily life and uphold moral discipline, harmony, and national unity.
