Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pratishtha Dwadashi: Grand Five-Day Celebration Scheduled

Ayodhya: The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra has announced the schedule for the Pratishtha Dwadashi celebration at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The five-day festivities will feature daily Manas recitations, religious kathas, and cultural programs in the evenings until 9 PM. The main event is set for 31 December, with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expected to attend.

According to Dr. Anil Mishra, trustee of the Ram Mandir, final preparations are underway to mark the second anniversary of the Ram Lalla Pratishtha Dwadashi. The entire temple complex is being thoroughly cleaned, and the Angad Teela area, designated for colorful cultural programs, is also being prepared. The festivities will officially begin on 29 December.

Event Schedule:

  • 29 December: Manas recitation from 8 AM to 2 PM; Katha by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Ram Dineshacharya from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM; Ramleela performance by Guru Ghasidas University, Chhattisgarh, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM.
  • 30 December: Repeat of the 29 December program at the same timings.
  • 31 December: Manas recitation from 8 AM to 12:30 PM; inauguration session by CM Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from 1 PM to 3 PM, followed by Katha; Poet Amshika Singh will perform from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by a presentation.
  • 1 January 2026: Manas from 8 AM to 2 PM; Katha from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM; evening cultural programs from 6 PM to 9 PM featuring Anup Jalota, Tripti Shakya, and a Ram Katha-based dance drama by Mayuri Dance Group, Firozabad.
  • 2 January 2026: Daytime schedule remains the same; evening cultural events will include performances by Suresh Wadekar, Sanoli Pandey, and the Shalina Chaturvedi Group, Delhi, presenting the Kathak dance-drama “Ram Ki Shakti Puja.”

Flag Hoisting and Temple Installations
Sources from the Ram Mandir construction team said that flag hoisting is being prepared for the six Parikota temples and the Sheshavatar Mandir, which could not be completed during the Prime Minister’s visit. Additionally, installations in the temple’s second floor Garbha Griha, including the Ramnam Mandir and Shri Ram Yantra, may be carried out by the Defence Minister and CM.

The main temple’s Dharm Dhwaj (religious flag) is 191 feet tall, while the six Parikota temples are approximately 85 feet, and the Sheshavatar Mandir flag is nearly 75 feet high. According to the temple trust, the flags will next be replaced during Ram Navami.
