Ayodhya: Darshan at 15 Temples in Ram Temple Complex to Begin from February

Darshan for devotees at 15 additional temples located within the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya is likely to commence from the first week of February. Visitors will be required to obtain special passes to access these temples, as preparations are being finalized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

The decision was reviewed during a two-day meeting of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, chaired by senior official Nripendra Misra, where arrangements for managing the influx of millions of devotees were discussed. The meeting also focused on enhancing medical infrastructure in Ayodhya and reviewing progress on the International Ram Katha Museum.

Mr. Misra stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the recent flag-hoisting ceremony, had expressed his intent to open the remaining temples within the campus for public darshan. Acting on this vision, the Trust is developing a computerized pass management system, which is expected to be completed by the end of this month. Once operational, darshan services at the 15 temples are expected to begin in early February.

International Ram Katha Museum Nears Completion

The International Ram Katha Museum is expected to open for tourists by March–April this year. The prestigious IIT Chennai has been entrusted with developing advanced digital galleries, including a high-tech Hanuman Gallery. Four digital galleries have already been completed, while work on the fifth is underway. The remaining gallery construction is targeted for completion within six months.

Additionally, efforts are underway to develop the Ram Naam Museum on the second floor of the Ram Temple, which aims to preserve original Ram Katha manuscripts in multiple languages. Several rare copies have been received, and state governments across the country have been requested to contribute to this cultural initiative.

Major Push for Advanced Medical Facilities

Recognizing Ayodhya’s emergence as a global religious tourism hub with daily footfall running into lakhs, the Trust is working closely with the government to strengthen healthcare facilities. Plans are in place to upgrade Shri Ram Hospital with state-of-the-art medical equipment to ensure rapid, high-quality treatment.

Moreover, a 300-bed super-specialty hospital is set to be constructed. The tender process has been completed, and the construction agency has been finalized. Pending clearance from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), construction is expected to begin shortly, with the project being treated as a top priority.

Cancer Hospital with Support from Ayodhya Royal Family

In a significant development, the Ayodhya royal family has agreed to provide eight acres of land for the construction of a cancer hospital in collaboration with the Modi Cancer Trust. A local trust will be formed to manage the hospital, with a permanent nominated member from the royal family.

Formal agreements between the Modi Cancer Trust and the royal family are expected soon. Construction of the hospital will begin shortly and is scheduled to be completed within two years. OPD services and cancer diagnostic facilities are expected to start within the same timeframe, while procurement of advanced medical equipment from abroad will commence after the initial project report is finalized within three months.
