Auraiya Girl Stages ‘Snake Skin’ Drama, Elopes With Lover Before Forced Marriage

Auraiya (Uttar Pradesh): In a bizarre incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district, a young woman allegedly staged a dramatic scene by leaving a five-foot snake’s shed skin on her bed before eloping with her lover, shocking villagers and leaving police stunned.

The incident took place in a village under the Phaphund police station area, where the girl’s family had reportedly fixed her marriage against her will. However, the girl wanted to marry a युवक (young man) from the same village with whom she was said to be in a relationship.

Snake Skin Left on Bed to Create Panic

According to local sources, before leaving her home on Monday evening, the girl placed a five-foot-long snake skin (slough) on her bed along with her ring, bangles, and a thread worn around the neck, seemingly to create the impression that something mysterious had happened.

Soon after, panic spread across the village, and rumours began circulating that the girl had “turned into a naagin,” triggering widespread curiosity and fear among villagers.

Police Launch Search Operation

Following the incident, the police launched a search operation to trace the girl. Surveillance teams are tracking her mobile phone location to determine her whereabouts.

Police Call It a ‘Filmy Drama’

Confirming the matter, Station House Officer Ajay Kumar said the incident appeared to be a planned act. He stated that the girl was unhappy as her family was arranging her marriage with another man, and she staged the drama before leaving with her lover.

“The girl is being traced. It seems like a filmy drama,” the officer said.

The police have assured that further action will be taken after locating the girl and recording her statement.
