Attention Commuters: Delhi Metro to Start Services at 3 AM on Republic Day; Full Parking Arrangements Made
Delhi Metro has announced special arrangements for commuters on the occasion of Republic Day. On 26 January, all Delhi Metro lines will begin operations from 3 AM to facilitate easy access to the Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path.
Early Morning Services
For the convenience of passengers, trains will run every 15 minutes until 6 AM, after which regular schedules will resume. Anuj Dayal, Chief Executive Officer of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), stated that the early start is aimed at ensuring smooth travel for citizens attending the celebrations. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and make use of these early services to reach the event venue comfortably.
Parking Facilities
To further ease travel, DMRC has arranged full parking facilities at all metro stations during Republic Day. Commuters attending the celebrations will have convenient parking options, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Temporary Gate Closures
Due to the Republic Day events, from 23 to 26 January, certain gates at six metro stations will remain closed from 3 AM until the conclusion of the events. These stations include:
- Central Secretariat
- Udyog Bhawan
- Red Fort
- Jama Masjid
- Delhi Gate
- ITO
