Attempted Assassination on Gwalior Leader: Mob Chases Car, Throws Stones at Night

Gwalior: In a shocking late-night attack in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Lakhan Singh Bauddh, National President of the Samyak Samaj Sangh (S-3), narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. The incident occurred around 1:40 AM near Suresh Nagar Government Multi, as he was returning home from a wedding ceremony and meeting.

Accompanying him in the car was Deepika Bauddh, the state security head of S-3. According to reports, four unidentified assailants on two motorcycles blocked the car and tried to forcefully pull Lakhan Singh out, shouting, “You play too many politics; today we’ll teach you a lesson.”

Reacting swiftly, Lakhan Singh locked the car doors and drove off. The attackers then began hurling stones, shattering the rear windshield, and pursued his vehicle for nearly half a kilometer up to the Mela Ground area. They eventually fled when they approached a police checkpoint.

Following the attack, Lakhan Singh reached Thathipur police station and lodged a formal complaint. He described the incident as an attempted murder, claiming that he had been targeted in recent times and warned that if the perpetrators were not apprehended quickly, it could trigger anger among his supporters.

Police Action Underway

Authorities have begun examining CCTV footage from nearby cameras. CSP Robin Jain confirmed that the matter is being investigated with utmost seriousness and assured that the attackers would be arrested soon.
