Greater Noida: Following the Delhi blast, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out a raid on a company in Greater Noida late Tuesday night, investigating possible terror funding links. Authorities questioned employees, created a layout of the premises, and meticulously examined several documents.
Diary Could Unlock Crucial Clues
Sources revealed that the ATS recovered a significant diary containing hundreds of phone numbers, which could potentially unveil key connections to terror networks. Investigators hope it may also provide leads about funding received from abroad and individuals linked to the network.
Background of Arrests and Investigations
Four days prior, the UP ATS had arrested Farhan Naye Siddiqui from Kasna, Delhi, in connection with the case. The ongoing probe seeks to trace the flow of funds and the network behind the blast. Investigators are also tracking the distribution of incendiary materials, identifying authors, and mapping Farhan’s contacts. Preliminary findings indicate that approximately ₹11 crore from foreign sources were used to purchase land in Amroha and Punjab for religious and educational institutions.
Nationwide Security Response
In the immediate aftermath of the Delhi blast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited LNJP Hospital to meet the injured and the victims’ families. Home Minister Amit Shah assured that all culprits would face full punishment with no exceptions. High alert has been declared nationwide, with intensive inspections of CNG and LPG vehicles, particularly on NH-44. Patrolling has been doubled in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar to prevent any further incidents.
