Brother’s Search Leads to Moscow
Jalandhar resident Jagdeep Kumar, from Goraya, traveled to Moscow twice this year in search of his brother, Mandeep. After his second visit, he obtained confirmation from Russian authorities regarding the deaths of several Indian soldiers. Jagdeep is now coordinating with officials to repatriate the bodies.
Support from Indian Authorities
Jagdeep met with Rajya Sabha MP Baba Sichewal, who had assisted him in traveling to Russia. He submitted all relevant documents to the MP’s office, including papers confirming the deaths.
Families Still in Uncertainty
Jagdeep highlighted the plight of parents whose children joined the Russian army, many of whom had long awaited their return. He emphasized that there has been no official confirmation of the deaths to date, leaving families in distress and uncertainty.
