Aspiring Air Force Candidate Ananya Sharma Killed in Road Accident in Jaipur

Jaipur, January 22:
In a tragic road accident on the Kalwad Road Express Highway in Jaipur, 17-year-old Ananya Sharma, an aspiring Indian Air Force candidate, lost her life after being hit by a speeding SUV early Tuesday morning. The incident has plunged her family and native village into deep mourning.

Ananya, a resident of Badagaon Bajana Ravka village in Jhunjhunu district, was in Jaipur for her studies and Air Force preparation. She had successfully cleared the written examination of the Indian Air Force, and her physical test was scheduled for January 31 in Jodhpur.

Accident During Morning Practice

According to police and eyewitnesses, the accident occurred around 6:00 am near the Ajmer Pulia area on the express highway when Ananya had gone out for her routine morning run as part of her physical training. A high-speed Thar SUV reportedly hit her while she was heading towards a nearby ground. She sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital by local residents, where she succumbed during treatment.

The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene after the accident, triggering public outrage.

Bright Student With Big Dreams

Ananya was pursuing BSc second year at Maharani College, Jaipur, and was known for her academic excellence and dedication to sports and fitness. Family members said she was determined to join the Indian Air Force to serve the nation and support her family financially.

Her father, Ravindra Kumar Sharma, is undergoing treatment for cancer, while her mother is a homemaker. Ananya was considered the sole hope and backbone of the family, making the loss even more devastating.

Police Investigation Underway

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and initiated an investigation. The Thar SUV involved in the accident has been seized. Officials identified the vehicle registration number as RJ45 CY 4495, registered in the name of Jitendra Chaudhary. Authorities stated that efforts are underway to trace the driver and examine all aspects related to the incident.

Wave of Grief

The untimely death of the young and promising student has sent shockwaves across her village and the surrounding region. Locals, teachers, and fellow students remembered Ananya as a disciplined, hardworking, and ambitious girl whose dreams were cut short far too soon.

The incident has once again raised serious concerns about overspeeding and road safety on city highways, with residents demanding strict action against reckless driving.
