Hapur: In a swift and successful operation, Hapur police have rescued two kidnapped minors and arrested three accused individuals involved in the crime. The suspects, identified as Mukesh alias Monu from Bijnor, Gautam from Amroha, and Geeta from Bijnor, were reportedly planning to sell the abducted children.
The incident dates back five days when Anita, a resident of Jamidaran village in Garhmukteshwar, had gone to the Kartik Ganga fair in the Brajghat region with her 8-year-old son Kartik and 7-year-old Chirag. The children mysteriously went missing during the visit.
CCTV footage later revealed one of the suspects taking the two children away. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a vehicle check on Sthana Road near a brick kiln, intercepting a white Alto car in which the kidnapped children were being transported. Both minors were safely recovered from the vehicle.
Upon interrogation, the three accused confessed that their plan was to abduct and sell the children. Police are continuing the investigation to determine whether the suspects were involved in any prior criminal activities.
This operation highlights the efficiency and vigilance of the Hapur police in swiftly acting on intelligence and ensuring the safe return of the children.
