
Gaziabad: A second video showing college students engaging in inappropriate behavior on the Merut–Gaziabad Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has gone viral, reigniting public outrage. Social media users have been sharing the video widely under the name “Rapid Rail Part-2.” Investigations revealed that the students involved study at colleges in Gaziabad and Duhai.
Incident Details:
The misconduct occurred on the evening of 24 November while the train was traveling from Duhai to Muradnagar. According to NCRTC investigations, the act was recorded on a mobile phone by a train operator, which violated operational rules. Following the investigation, the operator was terminated from service on 3 December.
Official Response:
Following the circulation of the second video, NCRTC issued a formal appeal urging the public not to share the video further, emphasizing that legal and departmental actions have already been taken. The corporation stressed the importance of maintaining discipline and decorum on public transport.
NCRTC spokespersons advised passengers that any inappropriate or obscene behavior on the train or at stations should be immediately reported to staff or security personnel. The appeal aims to ensure safety, preserve public trust in the Namo Bharat service, and prevent further incidents.
