Ancient Form of Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi to Be Restored, Shankaracharya Shares Spiritual Vision

Mathura: Following the developments of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, the spotlight is now on Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi in Mathura. The matter has gained momentum with renewed discussions about restoring the site to its ancient form.

Shankaracharya’s Visit and Spiritual Guidance
Jagadguru Shankaracharya Vidhushekar Bharati Maharaj, the successor of Shringeri Sharada Peeth, visited Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi on Tuesday. During his visit, he participated in various religious rituals and provided spiritual guidance to devotees. The Shankaracharya highlighted the divine leelas of Lord Krishna, recalling how Krishna’s birth in Kansa’s prison freed Devaki and Vasudev from bondage. He emphasized that just as Krishna destroyed the chains of ignorance and ego, divine grace can help humans overcome spiritual limitations to achieve life’s true purpose.

Wishes for Restoration and Development
Addressing devotees, the Shankaracharya expressed his wishes for the development, expansion, and restoration of Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi to its original, ancient glory. He distributed special prasadam brought from Shringeri Peeth among the devotees and visited the Goshala within the Janmbhoomi complex, personally feeding and worshipping the cows. Devotees and temple staff welcomed him in traditional style, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere throughout the premises.

Gita Jayanti Celebrations and Rituals
The Gita Jayanti Mahotsav included the distribution of prasadam in the evening, attended by a large number of devotees. Earlier, the Shankaracharya performed the ceremonial worship of Lord Keshavadev, followed by the puja and aarti of Maa Yogmaya, adhering to Vedic traditions. He also offered elaborate floral tributes to Shri Radha-Krishna and prayed for the well-being of all devotees.

Grand Welcome with Traditional Rituals
The Shankaracharya was welcomed at Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi with a silver mangal kalash, floral bouquets, and auspicious aarti. The secretary of the institution, Kapil Sharma, along with member Gopeshwarnath Chaturvedi, formally felicitated him. A large crowd of devotees thronged the Janmbhoomi complex, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with devotion and spiritual energy.
