Anar Patel Appointed President of Khodaldham Organisation, Sparks Major Buzz in Rajkot

Ahmedabad/Rajkot: In a significant development in Gujarat’s socio-political landscape, Anar Patel, daughter of Uttar Pradesh Governor and former Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, has been appointed President of the influential Khodaldham Organisation, which holds considerable sway in Saurashtra and Ahmedabad.

Naresh Patel, Chairman of the powerful Leuva Patel community trust, Khodaldham, announced Anar Patel’s appointment during the 9th anniversary celebrations of the Khodaldham temple in Kagwad, Rajkot. Anar Patel had joined the trust a few years ago and has now been entrusted with this major responsibility. Her elevation has triggered speculation in political circles about a possible entry into active politics, potentially in the 2027 assembly elections.

Focus on Unity and Trust
In her first address as President, Anar Patel emphasized the importance of unity in the community, stating, “The Patel community possesses wealth and resources, but true strength lies in unity. I will never let the trust that Nareshbhai Patel has placed in me falter. I consider this position not just a title but a significant responsibility.”

She praised the founders of Khodaldham, highlighting the organisation’s mission of community cohesion under the principles of devotion to Mother Khodal and collective unity. “Internal conflicts weaken the community. We may have strength and resources, but history is made only when we remain organized and united,” she added.

Khodaldham Marks Nine Years
The Khodaldham temple in Kagwad celebrated its 9th Pran Pratishtha anniversary on January 21, 2026. During the event, the 2026 convener meeting of the Khodaldham Organisation was held, where Naresh Patel formally announced Anar Patel as the new President. The announcement was met with enthusiastic applause, and in her speech, Anar Patel stressed that while differences of opinion are natural, they should never divide the community.

Her appointment is being seen as a key move to strengthen the organisational structure and promote unity among the Patels in Gujarat.
