Anant Ambani Offers Prayers with Father, Donates ₹5 Crore at Salangpur Hanuman Temple in Gujarat

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani has once again drawn public attention, this time for his spiritual journey and generous donation at one of Gujarat’s most revered temples. After offering prayers at the Somnath Temple to mark the New Year, Anant Ambani, accompanied by his father, visited the famous Shri Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple in Salangpur, Botad district.

Seated on the ground alongside his father, Anant Ambani performed traditional rituals and sought blessings from Lord Hanuman. Following the prayers, he donated ₹5 crore to the temple trust, a significant contribution that will be used for temple development and improving facilities for devotees.

About the Salangpur Hanuman Temple

The Shri Kashtbhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple, located in Salangpur village of Botad district, is one of the most prominent religious sites in Gujarat. The temple falls under the Vadtal Gadi of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya and is believed to be a powerful spiritual center where devotees come to seek relief from mental, physical, and spiritual distress.

The temple was established in 1905 by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami. According to religious belief, the idol reportedly moved during its installation, an event considered miraculous by devotees. The temple witnesses massive footfall, especially on Hanuman Jayanti and Saturdays, and attracts pilgrims from India and abroad.

Unique Religious Significance

One of the temple’s unique features is the depiction of Shani Dev in a feminine form seated at the feet of Lord Hanuman, symbolizing Hanuman’s power to relieve devotees from planetary afflictions. Priests believe that Lord Hanuman here is truly a “Kashtbhanjan” — the remover of suffering.

‘King of Salangpur’ – A Major Attraction

The temple complex also houses a giant 54-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman, popularly known as the “King of Salangpur.” The statue, holding a 27-foot mace, was unveiled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and is considered the tallest Hanuman statue in Gujarat. The site also features a large community dining hall serving thousands of devotees.

Several prominent personalities, including singer Himesh Reshammiya, have visited the temple in recent years. With the visit of Mukesh and Anant Ambani, the Salangpur Hanuman Temple has once again come into the national spotlight.
