Amroha: Muslim Man Poses as Hindu Devotee to Exploit Woman, Arrested

Amroha, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking case of alleged “love jihad” has come to light in Amroha district, where a Muslim man reportedly posed as a Hindu Jat and a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba to deceive a young Hindu woman. The man, identified as Sahil, allegedly lured the woman into a romantic relationship, promised marriage, and then sexually exploited her. Following the complaint, the police arrested Sahil.

According to the victim, Sahil coerced her into aborting her pregnancy and pressured her to convert to Islam in order to marry him. The woman also accused him of confiscating her jewelry and stealing thousands of rupees.

Deception Revealed
The victim, a resident of Gajrola area, stated that she first met Sahil through Snapchat in 2023. Sahil introduced himself as a Hindu Jat and a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba. As their relationship developed, the victim became pregnant. Later, she discovered that Sahil was married and a Muslim. Upon revealing the truth, Sahil allegedly demanded that she convert to Islam if she wished to marry him, while also threatening her with death and circulating obscene photos and videos. Another man, Junaid, is reportedly also involved in the case.

Police Action
The woman filed a complaint with the police on February 4. Based on her statement, a case was registered, and Sahil was arrested on February 6 and sent to jail.

The police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and assured strict action against all involved.
