Aligarh Youth Commits Suicide Following Argument with Girlfriend Over Laundry

Aligarh, UP: In a tragic incident in Aligarh, a young man allegedly took his own life following an argument with his girlfriend over a trivial domestic matter. The incident occurred in Masudabad, near Banna Devi police station.

According to reports, 24-year-old Zeeshan, son of Ahsan from Jamalpur Asif Nagar, worked as an auto-rickshaw driver and was in a long-term relationship with a young woman who works at a hotel in the Masudabad area. On Wednesday night around 11 PM, a dispute broke out between the couple over washing clothes. The argument escalated, and Zeeshan reportedly went to a nearby under-construction building, where he hanged himself.

The girlfriend rushed him to Malakhan Singh District Hospital in an unconscious state. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. Zeeshan’s family also reached the hospital and alleged that the girlfriend was responsible for his death.

Speaking to the police, the girlfriend stated, “We had an argument. He came to put his jacket in the washing machine, but I refused to wash it. He then went upstairs. He was intoxicated and once tried to choke himself with a rope. He told me to go downstairs, which I did. When I came back after a while, I found him hanging.”

Zeeshan’s brother, Rehan, added that Zeeshan had left home two days earlier and did not return. On Wednesday evening around 5:30 PM, the girlfriend called to inform them that Zeeshan was unwell after consuming something. Upon reaching the hospital, the family found him deceased.

The police from Banna Devi police station have taken Zeeshan’s body into custody for post-mortem examination and are questioning the girlfriend as part of the ongoing investigation.
