Aligarh Police Seize Gangster Khalid’s Assets Worth ₹3.17 Crore

Aligarh, UP: In a major crackdown under the Gangsters Act, Aligarh police have seized movable and immovable assets worth approximately ₹3.17 crore belonging to notorious gangster Khalid alias Pappu. The seizure operation was carried out with full pomp, including traditional drums and public announcements.

Action Under Section 14 of Gangsters Act
The police action falls under Section 14 of the Gangsters Act, following allegations that Khalid amassed his wealth through illegal and criminal activities. The seized properties include assets owned by his brother-in-law as well.

History of Criminal Cases
According to authorities, Khalid, a known history-sheeter, faces around 26 criminal cases, including robbery, land grabbing, attempted murder, fraud, and other serious offenses. He had long been on the police radar.

Details of Seized Assets
The assets confiscated include:

  • Two plots in Khalid’s name
  • One luxury car in his wife’s name (impounded at the police station)
  • One plot in the name of his brother-in-law, Rafat Ali

The other properties have been marked with official seizure boards.

Operation Approved by DM
Circle Officer Survam Kumar stated that the operation was carried out with prior permission from the District Magistrate. Police teams from Quarsi and Civil Lines stations conducted the seizure publicly, accompanied by drums and announcements, ensuring transparency and public awareness.
