Aligarh: BJP Leader and Young Woman Clash, Police Take Both to Station; Mother Arrives Wielding Slipper

Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh: A heated confrontation between BJP leader Gaurang Tiwari and a young woman in Aligarh escalated into a physical altercation, prompting police intervention. Both parties were taken to the Dehligate Police Station, where tensions continued to rise, and a viral video now shows the woman’s mother brandishing a slipper during the commotion. Police are investigating the incident.

Incident on the Street

The incident occurred on Sunday in the Dehligate area, when Gaurang Tiwari, accompanied by other BJP leaders, reportedly encountered the woman on the street. An argument quickly escalated into a scuffle. Police arrived at the scene, separated the parties, and took both to the station for questioning.

High-Voltage Drama at Police Station

At the police station, the situation intensified. Tiwari and other BJP leaders were seated in the station officer’s room, which reportedly angered the woman. She began verbally confronting the leaders and recording the altercation on her phone. During the commotion, her mother reportedly raised a slipper at Tiwari. Female police personnel on site intervened to calm the situation.

A video of the dramatic scene, showing the confrontation and the mother brandishing the slipper, has since gone viral on social media.

Background of the Dispute

Sources say the dispute between Tiwari, a resident of Railway Road, and the woman from Ghudiyabag, has a long history. Several years ago, the woman had filed a case alleging Tiwari attempted to mislead her, and since then, three additional cases have been registered against him. The recent clash on Sunday afternoon appears to be a continuation of this long-standing conflict.

Police Statement

Dehligate Police Station In-Charge, Ishwar Singh, stated that both parties underwent medical examinations after the altercation. Both accused each other of physical assault and submitted statements to the police. Investigations are ongoing, and further action will be taken based on evidence and complaints received.
