Aligarh: In a shocking case from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, a 29-year-old woman reportedly eloped with her 18-year-old nephew, leaving her family stunned. The woman’s husband has approached the police, urging them to locate his wife and bring her back. Authorities are now actively searching for both.
Background of the Case
The incident took place in a village under the Godha police station area. According to reports, the illicit relationship between the aunt and her nephew developed over time. On 23 January, the woman reportedly ran away with her nephew. Despite extensive efforts by her husband and family members, no clue about their whereabouts has been found so far. Consequently, the husband filed a written complaint of missing persons with the local police.
Husband’s Account
The husband revealed that he married his wife in 2019 in a love marriage. He works hard daily to support the family. The nephew, who is 11 years younger than the woman, frequently visited their house. The husband claims he was unaware when the illicit relationship began between his wife and nephew. On 23 January, his nephew allegedly took his wife away. Despite searching nearby areas and extended family networks, they have not been traced.
Police Action
Station Officer Lokesh Vesla of Godha police station stated that a search operation has been launched to locate the missing aunt and nephew. Police teams are actively engaged to ensure their safe recovery. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against both the nephew and the wife as per the husband’s complaint.
