Al-Falah University Hostel Used for Explosives Practice: Interrogation of Muzammil and Shaheen Reveals Major Details

Faridabad/Jammu & Kashmir: Following the arrest of Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, Mosque Imam Ishtiaq, and Dr. Shaheen Shahid from Al-Falah University, the Faridabad Crime Branch deployed a team to Jammu & Kashmir to interrogate suspected terrorists. Investigations revealed that hostel rooms at the university were being used to practice making explosives, with Muzammil and Umar actively involved.

Explosives Made from Chemicals and Fertilizers
The accused allegedly mixed urea, potash, nitrogen, and other chemicals to create explosive materials. Reports indicate that some chemicals were allegedly taken from the medical college laboratory and repurposed for these activities. Security sources also revealed that the duo used a grinding machine at a taxi driver’s residence near Dhouj Mosque to crush fertilizers into fine material, preparing raw components for explosives.

SIT Formed to Investigate Local Networks
The Faridabad Police have constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising 12 officers, focused on identifying local collaborators supporting the suspected terrorists. Interrogations of the arrested suspects provided significant leads regarding these local networks.

Two More Doctors Detained
Authorities reportedly detained two more doctors from Al-Falah University, Dr. Nasir and Dr. Junaid, late Thursday night. Although official confirmation is pending, the university’s management, alongside the health department, visited the campus Friday to address concerns. Parents of MBBS students currently enrolled at the university have gathered to assess the situation firsthand, though no protests have been reported.

This case highlights a growing concern over local support networks aiding suspected terrorist activities and has prompted stringent actions by both police and security agencies to contain potential threats.
