Ajmer Urs 2026: 5 Special Trains Announced to Facilitate Pilgrims from South India and Beyond

Ajmer/Jaipur: In view of the annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti at Ajmer, the North Western Railway has announced five pairs of special trains to ease travel for pilgrims. These special trains will operate from various parts of the country, particularly from South India, Maharashtra, and Gujarat, directly to Ajmer, offering much-needed relief during the Urs, as well as during the Christmas and New Year travel rush.

Millions of Pilgrims Expected
Ajmer, home to the world-famous Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah, witnesses millions of pilgrims arriving daily during the Urs. These special trains will not only facilitate the smooth movement of devotees but also provide convenience to travelers during the festive season. Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, stated that these services have been introduced in anticipation of high passenger demand.

1. Machilipatnam – Ajmer Urs Special (Train Nos. 07274 / 07275)

• 07274: Departs Machilipatnam on 21 Dec 2025 at 10:00 AM, reaching Ajmer on 23 Dec at 3:30 PM.
• 07275: Returns from Ajmer on 28 Dec 2025 at 8:25 AM, reaching Machilipatnam on 30 Dec at 9:30 AM.
• Stops: Gudivada, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Nanded, Bhopal, Ujjain, Ratlam, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, among others.
• Coach composition: 1 First cum Second AC, 2 Second AC, 2 Third AC, 10 Sleeper, 7 General – total 24 coaches.

1. Kacheguda – Madar Urs Special (Train Nos. 07733 / 07734)

• 07733: Departs Kacheguda on 23 Dec 2025 at 11:30 PM, reaches Madar on 25 Dec at 1:00 PM.
• 07734: Returns from Madar on 28 Dec 2025 at 6:10 PM, reaches Kacheguda on 30 Dec at 10:00 AM.
