Ajmer Dargah Prays for Peace Amid Violence Against Hindus in Bangladesh, Salman Chishti Raises Voice for Humanity

Ajmer, India:
Amid growing concerns over violence against minorities, particularly the Hindu community, in Bangladesh, the revered Ajmer Sharif Dargah has raised a strong voice for peace, harmony, and humanity. Senior Khadim of the shrine, Salman Chishti, offered special prayers and urged the global community to stand firmly against hatred, violence, and oppression.

Expressing deep anguish over the ongoing unrest, Salman Chishti stated that atrocities against innocent people in any part of the world are a direct assault on the fundamental values of humanity. He emphasized that religion should never be used as a tool to justify violence or discrimination.

Special Prayers During Urs, Appeal to the World

On the occasion of the annual Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti, special prayers were offered at the Dargah for peace in Bangladesh and across the world. Addressing devotees and the media, Salman Chishti appealed to international leaders and organizations to take concrete and effective steps to stop violence against minorities.

“Millions of devotees from different religions and nations gather at Ajmer Sharif with one common message — that there should be no hatred, no bloodshed, and no injustice anywhere in the world,” he said. “These prayers are not limited to any one country or faith, but are for the entire humanity.”

Message of Khwaja Garib Nawaz Remains Relevant

Highlighting the timeless teachings of Khwaja Garib Nawaz, Salman Chishti said that the saint’s message of unconditional love, compassion, peace, and brotherhood continues to guide humanity even today. Ajmer Sharif, he noted, stands as a symbol of unity where people of all faiths, castes, and nationalities come together.

He categorically condemned violence, terror, and hatred against minorities, stating that such acts are unacceptable whether in Bangladesh or anywhere else in the world.

Demand for Strict Action Against Culprits

Salman Chishti demanded strict punishment for those responsible for violence and urged governments to ensure justice for victims. “Peace cannot be achieved through mere statements; it requires firm action,” he asserted, calling upon world leaders to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

Hope for a Peaceful 2026

Concluding his message, Salman Chishti expressed hope that 2026 would mark a new beginning for the world — one based on unity, tolerance, and humanity. “It is time to leave hatred behind and place humanity above all else,” he said.

The prayers from Ajmer Sharif echoed a universal hope: that every individual, regardless of faith or nationality, may live in safety, dignity, and peace.
